This is a very good Merlot, with near-perfect fruit, balanced between blackberries and olives. The oak adds complexity but isn’t plastered on. The wine has the elusive quality of elegance. The depth of flavor and the rich texture are really nice. —S.H.

There are some gritty tannins to this wine that make it chewy, almost like a food. It has pretty cherry and blackberry flavors and good acidity that balance the tannins out. Has extra layers of complexity that add interest.

There’s some good cherry-berry fruit here, with a solid overlay of oak, and the wine is completely dry. Feels rough and sharp, though, with acidity and tannins. Merlot-Cabernet blend.
