Bland, with oak-driven aromas of butter and roast corn. In the mouth, there’s banana, pineapple and other sweet, ripe fruits, but to say it’s traditional Sauvignon Blanc would be a stretch of great magnitude. And the alcohol, which clocks in at 14.2%, seems high. — M.S. (7/1/2004)
