A firm, darkly structured wine. It has a hard edge of smoky wood tannins that dominate the black fruits, so it needs 2–3 years to balance out. It’s always likely to be a firm, dense wine.
Deliciously fresh and creamy, this wine rolls around the mouth with its smooth, ripe texture. There are flavors of almonds, some toast from wood, and just enough acidity. The aftertaste is soft.
This carefully balances its firm structure and red fruit to form an attractive, well-textured character. It doesn’t have a huge depth of flavor, but it’s so poised and elegant, and aging well.
Green apple and pear flavors dominate in this fine, fresh, delicious wine. There’s a touch of caramel, but the main feel is clean and delicate, with a some minerality to give structure.
Intense black and purple fruit aromas, wild strawberries, earthy and spicy notes. Very fresh on the palate with lots of bright ripe fruit, clove and black pepper. Flavorful with a lingering savory, forest floor finish. Smooth with just the right amount of tannin firmness.
