Smells enticing, with hints of apricot and river stones embellishing a grapefruit core. But in the mouth, the wine lacks flesh and lushness to cover its impressively fashioned bones; it ends up seeming hard and lacking much generosity.

Camphor and cedar oak aromas partially mask flavors that center around earth and pie cherries. The fruit is a little thin and the overlay of oak only emphasizes that.
