This solid Tuscan red comes from the seaside area of Tuscany, not the zone of our usual image of this historic region, but one of great recent activity. Dark cherry, earth and spice aromas open to a full and ripe mouth, with rich dry cherry fruit, and moderate acidity. Finishes dry with a mild chalky element. Very drinkable now; should improve over one or two years.

Ripe raspberry and strawberry notes are followed by mild tones of vanilla spice, rum cake and tobacco. This blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese has a clean, smooth mouthfeel.

Classic Sangiovese aromas of cherry, leather and earth open this well-balanced red. Ripe cherry flavors follow on the palate. With its medium weight, attractive mouthfeel, and sweet-and-sour finish, this is a commendable red from a seaside region of Tuscany.
