The unheralded Tarragona D.O. delivers a basic winner in this varietal Tempranillo. It comes out of the gate well, with deep cherry, kirsch and coffee aromas. The palate falls off a touch from the promise of the bouquet, but overall the wine is generous and fruity and sincere.
