The wine is a blend of Santa Maria Valley and Los Alamos Valley. It’s more of a textbook Pinot than a thrilling one, with good cherry-spice flavors.

Dry, crisp in acids and earthy, this has a dash of Viognier, which brightens what otherwise might be a heavy wine. It has flavors of coffee, blackberries and cherryskins.

An awkward wine, high in acid, with grapefruit, green tea and dried thyme aromas and flavors. Okay in its own way, but doesn’t seem quite ripe.

Vegetal and watery, a very dry wine that offers little in the way of fruit. Tastes like alcohol with a drop or two of grapefruit juice.
