A bit toasty and obviously woody, but underneath is adequate apple and melon fruit to support the oaking. The buttered popcorn notes are disconcertingly New World-ish, delivering broad, mouthfilling flavors that nevertheless finish clean and fresh.  — J.C.  (11/15/2005)
