Funky and unusual on the nose, with a hint of wheat bread but little of that ethereal, spunky floral character one looks for in Albariño. Partial malolactic fermentation has given it a creamy body but the flavors just don’t say much. Tastes basic, with a dry, peppery finish.  — M.S.  (7/1/2011)
