A blend of 80% old-vine Carignan and 20% Grenache, unusual for Lirac. The result is a wine loaded with acidity in 2004, maybe too much acidity. Red fruits carry a bass note of mushroom, finishing with tart cranberries.  — J.C.  (11/15/2006)
