Splendore 2007 Tempranillo (Ribera del Duero)

Dry on the nose, with balsam shavings, pepper and secondary red fruit aromas. The palate has a choppy, fairly hollow feel and then short flavors of plum and berry. Spice and mint notes work the finish, which is mellow. Overall this is standardfare RDD.  — M.S.  (11/1/2011)
