In the mouth, the Nicholas is pretty soft and creamy—there are no killer tannins here; this is a wine that is as enjoyable now as it will be after a few years in the cellar. Has nice cherry and plum flavors, and a healthy dose of oak and vanilla that extends to the finish. The longer it sits, the more it grows on you.  — D.T.  (12/31/2003)
