The “legs” on this wine are thick and gluey, the visible sign of enormous extract. One sniff and taste confirm that. This is a big, sturdy wine, stuffed with wild berry flavors, and very dry. This is a wine that feels old-fashioned but still not ready to drink. It smells nutty and dusty, with black pepper and anise accents. Its plum fruit core is wound very tightly, and encased in a fair amount of good-quality oak.
