Pure sweet fruit stars in this show. Peaches and pears, mainly, with just a hint of vanilla and toast. Some clove and butter notes sneak in on the finish. It’s a light, fruity wine to drink over the next few months.

Aromas of sarsaparilla soda and dill hardly qualify as ordinary. Then the flavors don’t much match the bouquet; they are tangy and sharp, veering toward cherry and sugared citrus rind. Below the surface there is some quality cherry fruit, but overall it seems to lack plushness. —M.S.
