Patrick Campbell, the man behind Laurel Glen in Sonoma County, has a fondness for Argentina and South America. His Terra Buena brand has some hits and misses, and this Malbec falls right in the middle of that range. Terra Buena 2006 Chardonnay (Mendoza)

California winemaker Patrick Campbell makes this perfumed, unusual Chardonnay, which is challenged but ultimately proves its worth.
