Terrazzo 2008 Red (Marche)

  • Online Exclusive
Sprightly and youthful, this ruby-colored blend of Sangiovese (60%) and Montepulciano offers immediate aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry backed by white almond and moist tobacco. The wine is bright and crisp and would pair with lightly fried chicken or fish.  — M.L.  (9/1/2009)

An informal 80-20 blend of Verdicchio and Trebbiano, this luminous white offers fresh tones of lemon zest, pulpy stone fruit and mature kiwi. It’s a great wine for washing down summertime picnic foods.  — M.L.  (3/1/2011)

Terrazzo 2000 Sangiovese-Montepulciano (Marche)

  1. $7
Mildly horsey at first, with sharp fruit aromas and burnt edges. Strawberry mixed with oak defines the palate, while on the finish it’s more tannic than the fruit can handle. Runs high on spice, particularly chili and black pepper. The blend is 60% Sangiovese, 40%Montepulciano.  — M.S.  (11/15/2003)
