Simple earth, rubber and berry aromas come prior to cranberry, plum and cherry flavors. Finishes quickly, with drying tannins. A tight, limited wine that won’t offend or excite.

Sweet and a little chemical smelling, with stemmy, citrusy red fruit flavors. The palate is light and narrow, with heat. Short on the finish and not what you’d call surprising, but given the $7 price tag it is not a bad wine.

A firm blast of alcohol mixed with hot raspberry defines the nose, while the acidic palate is zesty and finishes with a rush of red apple skin. Airing settles it somewhat but it stays kind of raw.
