Dense and full of plum, spice, smoke and char. The palate is up to the task, offering lively, concentrated berry and black cherry flavors. A complete wine with good balance. It has a purpose and a way of getting there.

So much about Torrontés has to do with how young and fresh is the bottle you’re trying. This sample shows pure lemon and citrus blossom aromas and a powdery side. The palate is crisp, chalky, and full of lemon-lime and green apple. Brings just the right blend of citrusy lemon-lime and candied sweetness to enjoy now with Asian foods and salads.

Crisp and clean, with lemon-lime and lychee aromas that are typical and well presented. There’s body to the wine but also streamlining acidity, resulting in a slick, smooth mouthfeel. Flavors of green melon, citrus and lychee are fresh and positive.

Starts out earthy and gaseous but the bouquet settles on round, full blackberry aromas. Lush, grabby and full in the mouth, with bold blackberry flavors that are clean, forward, uncomplicated and even a bit elegant. Tastes good and comes across smooth and polished for Bonarda.

Bold and pruney, with herbal, soft, ultraripe aromas in front of a jumpy yet partially stewed palate. This blend of Malbec with Bonarda and Syrah is your typical huge, tannic bruiser with big extract, huge tannins and just enough acidity to keep it pumping. Pretty good and perfectly drinkable, but a little over the edge.

A little hot and fiery on the nose, with jammy raspberry and pepper aromas. The palate is thick, soft and full, with savory, hickory-influenced flavors of bacon and wild berry. Big and warm on the finish; nice overall.

This is an active, zesty Torrontès, which is the best way to find it. Grapefruit and fresh celery are intertwined on the nose, while fresh apple and citrus fruits work the palate. Totally clean and easy.

Nice and spicy, with exotic aromatics like citrus peel, coriander and browned butter. Of course, there’s solid berry fruit in there as well. Seems a touch pastry-like in the mouth, where sugars and cream come in waves. Chunky in the long run, but fun and big.
