An interesting and different sort of Chard marked by aromas and flavors of green apples, guava, nectarine, butter, cream and an elusive mineral quality. It’s a bit prickly and sandpapery on the finish.

Strong tannins, the kind that numb the palate, make for a bumpy ride. The flavors are young and tight, of barely ripe blackberries and sweet tobacco. Might soften and improve with a few years in the bottle.

The nose on this Muscat is flat and smells like applesauce and peach syrup. Surprisingly, the palate is bright in feel, with ample acids and flavors of tangy peach, apricot and honey.
