Los Molles 2010 Reserva Viognier (Limarí Valley)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $14
Very aromatic, to the point of being flowery. The palate is sweet and dense, with a heavy, round mouthfeel and candied mango, melon and applesauce flavors. Finishes just pure enough, with weight and pith entering the fray. Don’t wait long to drink.  — M.S.  (6/1/2011)

Los Molles 2009 Late Harvest Botrytis Reserva - 375 ml Muscat (Limarí Valley)

  1. $13
Snappy and high-toned on the nose, with citrus peel and sweaty notes. The palate is solid, with sweet mango flavors followed by a small wave of bitterness and astringency. Candied but still a touch bitter on the finish.  — M.S.  (12/1/2011)

Concha y Toro 2009 Marques de Casa Concha Chardonnay (Limarí Valley)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $18
Chunky Chardonnay with a ton of resin and vanilla. The palate is soft and monontonous in its delivery of oak, resin and banana flavors. The finish is thick and tropical, with creaminess and warmth. Better if you like a sweet, round type of fully oaked Chardonnay; shows the mediocrity of the 2009 vintage.  — M.S.  (7/1/2011)

Tamaya 2010 Sauvignon Blanc (Limarí Valley)

  • Best Buy
  1. $9
Pungent and stiff, but clearly it’s Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is a pure citric wash of tight lime, lemon and cucumber flavors. Turns toward crisp tangerine on the finish. Lean and bright in style.  — M.S.  (9/1/2011)

Tamaya 2010 VCS White (Limarí Valley)

  1. $9
Flowery and blowsy smelling, with notes of ham, gardenia and honey, all of which are textbook for Viognier. Feels racy, with just enough smoothness to the body. Green apple, pineapple and lettuce flavors finish short and minerally.  — M.S.  (2/1/2012)

Tamaya 2009 Winemaker's Selection Single Vineyard Carmenère (Limarí Valley)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $18
A little floral but a lot more green and funky on the nose. The mouthfeel is reedy, while the flavors are sweet, herbal and lightly green, sort of like mint and tobacco. Strident in drive but not fully there in terms of flavor.  — M.S.  (9/1/2011)

Viña Tabalí 2009 Reserva Especial Chardonnay (Limarí Valley)

  1. $17
Dilute and peachy on the nose. The palate is sweet and round but has a hole in the middle in terms of spine and structure. Tropical and melony tasting, with caramel on the finish. Decent acidity keeps it lively.  — M.S.  (12/1/2011)

Viña Tabalí 2003 Reserva Especial Red (Limarí Valley)

  1. $19
Warm and earthy, with a mild touch of stewiness to the nose. Sweet and candied in the mouth, with chocolate accents. Quite full through the middle with a meaty, big finish. Not a ton of complexity, however. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon with a quarter each of Merlot and Syrah. Imported by American Wine Distributors.  — M.S.  (3/1/2006)
