A 50-50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a full-bodied rosé. Assertive chocolate and cherry aromas and flavors finish dry and slightly dusty with tannin, making it a solid choice with grilled meats, less so with fish.

A 50-50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this isn't as attractive as the other Clairet bottling from Premius. This one lacks a bit of textural interest, but does feature clean strawberry and raspberry fruit. Imported by Freixenet USA.

Darker in color than normal rosé, Bordeaux Clairet also has more richness. This wine is concentrated with vanilla and sweet strawberry flavors, although with a lack of freshness. Treat this as a red wine.

Darker in color than a rosé, this Clairet is fruity with ripe strawberry fruit. But it does seem heavily laced with caramel as well as some tannins and spice.
