Domaine de Bellene 2010 Vieilles Vignes Pinot Noir (Côtes de Nuits Villages)

  1. $58
This has weight and ripe plum and damson flavors that are now integrating into the tannins. It’s worth aging for a few years, but it is already enjoyable.  — R.V.  (4/1/2013)

Domaine de l'Arlot 2005 Le Clos du Chapeau Pinot Noir (Côtes de Nuits Villages)

  • Online Exclusive
Perfumed, with dark chocolate and solid fruit flavors. It’s quite foursquare, with black intensity, but a simple structure.  — R.V.  (8/1/2008)

Joseph Drouhin 2009 Pinot Noir (Côtes de Nuits Villages)

  1. $22
A soft, richly fruity cherry-flavored wine. Its tannins are so round they melt into the fruit. Acidity gives a deliciously fresh edge to this smooth and almost-ready-to-drink wine.  — R.V.  (5/1/2012)

Pierre Olivier 2005 Pinot Noir (Côtes de Nuits Villages)

A strangely spicy aroma is followed on the palate by very dry tannins, which dominate the red fruits. The wine has some potential, but has obviously come from grapes that are on the tart side. The finish has high acidity.  — R.V.  (12/31/2008)
