Château de Fuissé 2009 Les Combettes Chardonnay (Pouilly-Fuissé)

  • Cellar Selection
  • Online Exclusive
  1. $62
A firm, warm wine that appears closed up at this young stage in its career. It is structured with a firm and steely edge, the wine hinting at red apple, green plum and orange zest that balance with the toast. It could well age 7–8 years.  — R.V.  (12/31/2011)

Collovray et Terrier 2008 Domaine des Deux Roches Vieilles Vignes Chardonnay (Pouilly-Fuissé)

Great swathes of yellow fruits here, a wine that has weight, richness and delicious texture. Final spice shows through from the wood.  — R.V.  (11/1/2010)

Château de Fuissé 2006 Les Combettes Chardonnay (Pouilly-Fuissé)

  1. $58
It’s certainly a rich wine, packed with white fruits, nutmeg, some tight acidity but also an overarching flavor of wood. The fruit is big, weighty, a real mouthful of flavor, very ripe. This single-vineyard wine is certainly at the top of Château de Fuissé’s range.  — R.V.  (10/1/2008)

Château de Fuissé 2007 Vieilles Vignes Chardonnay (Pouilly-Fuissé)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $57
“Old vines” here means more than 20 years. But the wine owes its concentration to the selection of parcels and fruit as much as the vines’ age. For there certainly is a rich intensity in this impressive, rounded wine. The spice and pear flavors are lifted by sweet green fruits and white berries. Imported by Frederick Wildman & Sons, Ltd.  — R.V.  (10/1/2009)

Château de Fuissé 2003 Vieilles Vignes Chardonnay (Pouilly-Fuissé)

  • Cellar Selection
  1. $50
Blended from 10 plots of vines, all over 30 years of age, with most planted in 1929, this is Château de Fuissé’s ultimate cuvée, and the one intended to have the most longevity. In 2003, it’s incredibly rich and honeyed, with notes of grilled nuts balanced by fresh peach and melon flavors. Long on the finish. Drink now–2015. Imported by Frederick Wildman and Sons, Ltd.  — J.C.  (11/15/2005)

Domaine Robert-Denogent 2002 Cuvée Claude Denogent Chardonnay (Pouilly-Fuissé)

  • Cellar Selection
  1. $38
Very closed after its recent bottling, but shows even more length, minerality and finesse than Robert-Denogent’s other bottlings. I’ve no doubt it will emerge in several years even better. An incredible Pouilly-Fuissé. Imported by Kermit Lynch.  — J.C.  (11/15/2005)
