This Sangiovese from central Italy offers abundant freshness and pretty aromas of wild berry, almond, cola and dried ginger. There’s a touch of dried herb and licorice that gives the wine a bright, buoyant finish.

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese opens with polished aromas of smooth stone, granite, black pepper, red berry fruit and a touch of natural rubber or Band-Aid. There’s also an interesting herbal element that plays a strong background role and that adds chopped mint and basil to the finish.

An easy, refreshing white (60% Bianchino Faentino and 40% Chardonnay) with yellow fruit, fresh apricot, peach and citrus tones. Pretty aromas are successfully embellished by a touch of green grass or minced herb. It’s lightweight in the mouth, but crisp on the close. ** We need a new appellation for Colli di Faenza.

This is a light and elegant wine with lean consistency and delicate aromas of rose bud, Indian spice and wild berry. The mouthfeel is thin and compact but the natural freshness and those small berry flavors make for a very nice finale.
