The nose is heavy and bold and delivers hearty notes of smoked ham, prunes, plums, spice and deep earthy shades. The mouthfeel is dominated by thick concentration, polished tannins and very good persistency of flavor on the finish. Small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malvasia Nera, Merlot and Colorino are added to this Sangiovese based (90%) wine.
