Ripe, concentrated, perfumed fruit give this remarkable wine both richness and character. It has pear juice, star fruit and a hint of apricot, made richer by a smooth texture. There is plenty of acidity for a fresh finish.

A blend of Trincadeira and Castelão, named after a dovecote on the estate, this wine is soft, with smoky tannins and some mature fruit. This is certainly ready to drink, and, with its light, drinkable acidity, goes well with pasta or oily foods.

Soft and rich, this is powerful stuff. The texture is velvety smooth, the dark tannins very much second fiddle to the superripe fruit. Raisins and red fruits bring in some acidity, but even this fruit flavor is almost sweet in its richness. Drink now.
