This modern-style wine could be designated as Toro, but it comes from a village that predates the Toro D.O. so it keeps the “Vino de la Tierra” moniker. This is an easy drinker—not an intellectual, “serious” wine—but it displays more tasty ripe fruit than many more pretentious offerings. The nose is a blender-mix of ripe berry, cocoa, banana hints and smoky, toasty oak. The palate is flavorful, with ripe but dry strawberry and raspberry fruit.
