Defies categorization, in more ways than one. The wine is a joint venture between Cold Heaven’s Morgan Clendenen and Condrieu winemaker Yves Cuilleron, and is a 50-50 blend of their wines. The wine has California’s sunny flavors (sunflowers, hay, pretty yellow fruit), and a full, rich, viscous Condrieu texture.  — W.E.  (11/15/2004)
