Shenandoah VA 1997 Founder's Reserve Chambourcin (Shenandoah Valley)
Price
$17
Strong American-oak scents of dill rise from the glass. A Virginia version of Silver Oak? Not quite. It lacks a little richness on the palate, and finishes somewhat short. Still, a commendable effort from this relatively unknown hybrid.

Bogati NV Black Label Club CMC Reserve Red (Shenandoah Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$18
There’s a brooding, dark quality that tempts the nose with hints of black fruit, coffee grounds and graham crackers on this Shenandoah Valley red. Savory in style with a dry, medium-bodied palate, the plum compote and dried herb flavors are not deeply concentrated but soft, fine-grained tannins and the dark, earthy finish are pleasant.

Veramar 2010 Cabernet Franc (Shenandoah Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$24
Crisp black plum and cherry flavors are pleasant, if a tad underripe, on this full-bodied SheNAdoah Valley Cab Franc. Striking acidity and an abundance of green, herbal notes give it a lean, slightly tart midpalate.
