Corvidae 2008 Mirth Chardonnay (Washington/Oregon)
Best Buy
Online Exclusive
Price
$9
This brings a boatload of flavor for the price. It’s packed with fruit; citrus, pineapple, apple, and peach, round and succulent, with just the right amount of sharp acidity to give it some verve.

J. Scott Cellars 2009 Roussanne (Washington/Oregon)
Online Exclusive
Price
$18
Washington Roussanne, which is two thirds of the blend here, has sharp edges and some phenolic bite – it’s not a round, fruity style. Take that into account, but pair this firm, woodsy, slightly bitter wine with pork roast or grilled chops and you’ll have a match made in heaven.

Nuthatch Cellars 2007 Red-breasted Red (Washington/Oregon)
Online Exclusive
Price
$20
This is Nuthatch’s blend of 64% Cabernet Franc, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah , and there are noticeable green streaks running through both fruit and tannin. But it’s a well-made wine, with a supple mouthfeel, and some plummy fruit flavor threaded through the herbs. Best drunk with a sizzling steak.
