Aromas of peach, honeysuckle and almond are irresistible but the wine really excels in the mouth where it imparts opulent density and richness. This wine is an absolute pleasure to drink. A beautiful Sicilian wine that would pair with shellfish, crab cakes or white meat.

Among the greatest expressions of Fiano, Cometa is a full and generous effort, with deep layers of passion fruit and stone fruit, plus touches of vanilla, honey and light spice. The concentration and freshness is wonderful, and the wine would pair well with steamed lobsters or buttery crab legs.

Cometa is an irresistible white wine from the deep south of Italy. It speaks its own Sicilian language but with modern, international accents. Made from Fiano grapes, it opens with a beautiful golden color, and delivers rich aromas of stone fruit, vanilla cream and rose. The mouthfeel is exceedingly soft, creamy and long-lasting.

Cometa boasts a brilliant, saturated golden color and carries through with clean execution in terms of aromas and flavors. Notes of tropical fruit and ripe citrus come into sharp focus thanks to Fiano’s natural minerality. In the mouth, it offers plenty of weight, but balances that with great length on the finish, hinting at anise, honey, limes and oranges.

One of the best white wines to come from Sicily, and Italy for that matter, Cometa is a layered and complex warm-climate white with ripe and generous tones of mature peach, lemon zest, almond, pear, vanilla and honey that fit together in perfect harmony. It’s well-crafted and beautifully textured and pairs with creamy lobster bisque.

This dessert wine, made from Fiano grapes, is bursting with honeyed apricot and lychee aromas. The flavors turn simpler, leaning toward ripe peaches and corn syrup. It’s a soft, luscious wine that fades a bit on the finish but would make a killer pairing with Gorgonzola dolce.

A wonderful expression of one of Campania’s most consistent varieties. Aged four months in oak; acacia, toasted almond and Golden Delicious apples round off a well-balanced and crisp feel in the mouth. Imported by Wilson Daniels Ltd.
