From the Napa side of Carneros, this beautiful wine begins with very forward aromas of cola, black raspberry, black cherry, tomato, mushroom, earth, vanilla, spice and smoky oak. Very fruity and lush in the mouth, with soft tannins. It’s rich and opulent, offering wave after wave of different sensations that are endlessly fascinating. The finish is fruity and long…

Acacia 2007 Lone Tree Vineyard Pinot Noir (Carneros)

Fine and delicious, a huge improvement over the ’06 and even better than the excellent ’04. Dry and silky, it shows classic Pinot Noir structure, with long, deep flavors of oak-inspired cherries, raspberries, cola, mocha and Asian spices. Now–2013.

Acacia 2007 Winery Lake Vineyard Pinot Noir (Carneros)

$55
A lush Pinot Noir that needs some time to come around. It’s packed with flavors of black cherries, raspberries, plums, red currants, cola, licorice and sandalwood, in a silky texture marked fine tannins. Give it a year or so, and should improve through 2013.

Made in an accessible way, this Pinot Noir drinks well now. It’s polished and silky, offering waves of cherries, raspberries, red currants, cola, rhubarb pie, cocoa, sandalwood and spices. Has the structure to evolve for a good six years.

Acacia 1999 Pinot Noir (Napa Valley)

One of the first ‘99 Pinots to come out, this puppy from the Napa side of the American Viticultural Area is young and promising. It shows classic notes of plum, sautéed mushroom, vanilla and smoke, and something earthy, midway between chocolate and leather. The aroma is deep; you can inhale it and feel it in your head. Also heady are the flavors, which are…
