Dark, moody and broody, this is a thick wine with fleshy tones of black cherry and prune backed by graphite nuances and exotic spice. There’s nice personality here and smooth texture accented by sweet vanilla and cherry highlights.

Spearmint and chocolate aromas add character to the raspberry on the nose. Berries, cocoa powder, pepper and herbs create an exciting palate, one that leads nicely into a smooth, lengthy finish that’s graced by mint and solid but forgiving tannins. One reviewer found it dusty and lean while still liking the wine.

This is a territory-driven ripasso with exceedingly sweet aromas of red berry fruit, rose, chocolate and fruit candy. The wine’s appearance is thick and impenetrable and its flavors recall cherry, nutmeg, cinnamon and candied fruit. Imported by Underdog Wine Merchants.

Herbal and citrusy, this is a cleanly made Pinot Grigio that offers a modicum of complexity. Pear and citrus flavors mingle with notes of bitter herbs. Finishes with a hint of bitter grapefruit pith but also lingering apple notes.

There’s a distinctive aromatic quality to this wine that comes off more as flowers than it does as fruit. The wine is crisp and satisfying in the mouth and it delivers a touch of piquant spice on the close. This estate was founded more than 400 years ago in 1607.
