Made by the folks at the important wine co-operative Cavit, this elegant metodo classico sparkling wine offers a pretty bouquet of toasted bread, apricot, honey, dried herb and citrus. It shows a smooth, fine quality with refreshing acidity on the close.

With more than eight years of careful aging since the harvest, this opulent sparkler boasts a unique balance between elegance and power. The aromas are feminine and floral but the mouthfeel is intense and persistent with lingering tones of caramel and yellow rose.

Fresh baked apple pie or peach cobbler notes are intense on the nose. The mouthfeel is creamy, accented by attractive toasted notes followed by a bitter twist at the close.

Vanilla and pear aromas are neither exciting nor a turn-off, while the palate is solid, ifa bit tangy and weighty. Overall this is a modest wine that’s on the downturn. It’s not bad but it is flat-edged and bulky. Imported by Palm Bay Imports.
