This stunning wine boasts loads of character that peels off as aromatic layers of cherry, cassis, soapy wild flowers, violets, earth, cola and church incense. There’s a sweet spice element of cinnamon and nutmeg and all the flavors last long on the finish. It’s tempered, elegant and smooth overall.

Altesino’s Brunello is not a simple wine by any measure. Indeed, beyond the cherry and tobacco aromas you find in Brunello, this wine offers a wide spectrum of dried herbs, cola, ginger and eucalyptus tones that make the bouquet really shine. The wine delivers soft richness on the close.

This Brunello Riserva is defined by a layer of coffee and espresso that peels back nicely to reveal dark fruit, cassis, leather and tobacco. It’s smooth, ripe, fresh and structured.

Begins with a light touch of raisin, while the mouth feels soft, albeit a touch tannic. Further inspection unveils a deeper, meatier side, but also a touch of stewed fruit. Finishes solid, with coffee and chocolate as well as a medicinal hint. Imported by Winebow.
