This vintage has the Horiuchi artist label. Another glorious wine from the 2007 vintage, full and forward, packed with plum and purple fruits. Sweet tobacco and baking spices lead into a lush, fruit-loaded core, ripe with berries and plums. The finish—thick and textural and darkly chocolaty—wraps around polished, elegant tannins. — P.G. There’s also 15% Grenache in the blend, all the fruit lovely and bright, a mix of pepper, blueberries and cassis.
