This might be one of the lightest Pisoni Pinot Noirs of the vintage. It swaps the power normally associated with the vineyard for dryness and austerity. Heavy and soft, like a red velvet curtain. It’s forward in black cherry and oak flavors, with a dusting of cocoa. It’s not really showing delicacy or finesse now, but has plenty of power. Try holding until 2007. — S.H. (6/1/2005)
