This might be one of the lightest Pisoni Pinot Noirs of the vintage. It swaps the power normally associated with the vineyard for dryness and austerity. There’s a streak of cherry and cola, but acidity and tannins swamp it. Defines a certain approach, one meant for the cellar. Try after 2015.

Heavy and soft, like a red velvet curtain. It’s forward in black cherry and oak flavors, with a dusting of cocoa. It’s not really showing delicacy or finesse now, but has plenty of power. Try holding until 2007.
