This is one of Jess Jackson’s small-production wines. The vineyards are way up in the Mayacamas range separating Alexander Valley and Napa Valley, which explains the multi-county appellation. Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the wine is very dry and very tannic—too young to drink now. It should soften, but lacks the stuffing for the long haul.
