Astoria NV Cartizze Dry Glera (Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze)
Price
$30
Astoria’s Cartizze Prosecco delivers a clean and elegant feel that shows the best of informal Italian sparkling wine. Thanks to the sweet mouthfeel this pristine wine would pair with savory ham or cheese.

Astoria 2006 Millesimato Extra Dry Prosecco (Prosecco di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene)
Price
$20
This is an almost smoky, more sophisticated Prosecco with a nutty, almond feel, bigger structure and noticeable succulence. Aromas include Golden Delicious apple and roses. It’s a stately rendition that would pair well with a pasta or white meat dish.

Astoria NV Cartizze Prosecco (Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze)
Price
$21
Here’s a Cartizze Prosecco that favors yellow fruit, pear and mature peach. But this brilliant sparkler is not at all heavy or too ripe: In fact, its elegance and fine workmanship is clear. Mineral notes, kiwi and exotic fruit appear in the mouth.

Astoria 2001 Extra Dry Prosecco (Prosecco di Valdobbiadene)
Best Buy
Price
$9
Smartly packaged and well executed, this is Prosecco on the sweet edge, but with the balance to pull it off. Its orange and green-herb aromas are attractive. So are the bright tangerine and lime flavors. The finish is slick at first, then mildly tart. Yes, it’s sweet, but it’s also very, very tasty. Best Buy. —M.S.

Astoria 2004 Sauvignon Blanc (Delle Venezie)
Price
$20
Blends aromas of blanched nuts, field greens and snappy fruit into a very nice whole. The palate is sharp and clean, with grassy notes along with apple and lime. Sort of New Zealand-like in its approach, with a finish that is precise and crisp. And there’s just enough texture to the wine so that it isn’t lean. Imported by Astoria.

Astoria NV Cartizze Dry Glera (Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze)
Price
$30
Astoria’s Prosecco from the prestigious Cartizze vineyard delivers pristine notes of white mineral and stone fruit followed by a two-fold sensation of sweetness and crispness in the mouth. The wine’s texture is naturally rich and foamy on the tongue.

Astoria 2001 Prosecco (Prosecco di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene)
Best Buy
Price
$13
Talk about fresh and flowery. This lightweight sprinter is the epitome of style and zest. It’s sweet yet statuesque, with pungent gardenia aromas and pure tangerine, lime and tarragon flavors. It’s racy and graceful, a tasty surprise awaiting anyone uninitiated in good Prosecco.

Astoria 1998 Rosso Croder Red (Colli di Conegliano)
Price
$18
Deep and dark, with rubber, toast and smoke aromas on the complex, layered nose. Defined dried red-fruit flavors along with hints of chocolate and tobacco make for a pleasurable palate. It finishes subtle and warm. Drink now or hold through 2010.
