Aura 2007 Verdejo (Rueda)
Online Exclusive
Price
$17
Opens with melon aromas, minerality and a flash of sharp citrus. The palate is still lively and pithy, with mango, nectarine, apricot and apple flavors. This wine seems well balanced and refined, but like so many Verdejos from Rueda it’s working on a short lifespan, so catch it now before it fades away.

Aura 2006 Verdejo (Rueda)
Online Exclusive
Price
$18
Ripe grapefruit aromas take care of the nose, while the palate shows smooth-edged citrus and grapefruit flavors. For a warm-vintage wine, this one is holding in pretty well; it has a plump body but enough liveliness to do what it should with food. Drink now; it’s not getting any better.

Aura 2004 Verdejo (Rueda)
Price

A touch awkward to begin with, as the bouquet exhibits corn and hay along with ripe apple. The palate offers plenty of sweet, round flavors, particularly spiced apple and quince. Finishes soft, almost lazy. Good and ripe; not too acidic.
