Here’s an organic Vin Santo from the heart of Chianti Classico that boasts beautiful harmony and creaminess with generous aromas of molasses, chestnut honey, dried apple and maple syrup. It is a modern, rich and opulent dessert or meditation wine with extraordinary intensity and a very high pleasure factor.

This is a simply wonderful Chianti Classico Riserva that would pair with all sorts of Italian and American foods thanks to the clarity of its berry fruit aromas and its tasty, spicy finish. It’s not too heavy or fat, yet it does last long in the mouth.

Badia a Coltibuono 2001 White (Vin Santo del Chianti Classico)
Online Exclusive
From a blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, Tuscany’s traditional Vin Santo is the kind of sipping wine that is ideal after dinner during a lively conversation with friends. It won’t fill you up and has enough power and flavor to keep you entertained: Aromas include roasted chestnut, dark caramel, resin, maple syrup and brown sugar.

Badia a Coltibuono 1997 Cetamura Sangiovese (Chianti)
Best Buy
Price
$11
For what would be considered this winery’s base-level Chianti, it offers almost everything one could ask for, minus a lot of intensity. A nice cranberry nose, full fruit and character galore. Light more than heavy, it sits comfortably on your tongue before fading into a smooth, light finish. Hardly any overt tannins make it drinkable right away. Best Buy.

Badia a Coltibuono 2003 Cultus Boni Sangiovese (Chianti Classico)
Online Exclusive
Price
$30
This is an organically made Chianti Classico from one of Tuscany’s most famous estates that boasts fine qualities and elegant harmony overall. The nose is redolent of cherry, red rose, vanilla and toasted nut and, in the mouth, this has a pretty, fine texture with dusty tannins and tart freshness on the finish.
