Tomato and herb aromas are followed by red fruit and peppery notes. The simple finish does nothing to hurt or improve the wine. It’s very Average, but drinkable.

Balduzzi 2001 Reserva Chardonnay (Maule Valley)

The bouquet is a bit dusty and musty. Pear, banana and white pepper can be pulled from the palate, but the feel is flat and the finish dull. Not totally dismissible, but hard to support.
