An interesting, well-made blend of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Tannat that deals lemony oak, spice, coconut and ripe berry aromas. Stocky and firm, with nice balance and bold tannins framing flavors of lemon peel, clove, herbs, toast and berry fruit. A complete package; drink now through 2014.

Opens with leathery, slightly cheesy aromas before settling on dark fruit. Shows form and layering, with spicy flavors of dried red berry, wild herbs and licorice. Toasty and tightens up on the finish; in good shape for drinking now through 2014. Good value as well.

This staunch Malbec opens with straightforward berry aromas, and with airing it turns leathery and cheesy smelling. It’s tight and tannic on the palate, with lemony oak, potent blackberry and herb flavors. Short, rugged and tannic on the finish, but loaded with flavor and spunk.

Light berry aromas and a hint of spice open up this generic but solidly made Malbec-Merlot blend. Strawberry and raspberry are the lead flavors, with pepper on the finish. Not very evolved or complex, but good enough.
