Bernard Baudry 2005 Le Clos Guillot Cabernet Franc (Chinon)
One of Baudry’s top wines, Le Clos Guillot is made from ungrafted vines, which seems to give an extra intensity to the fruit, as well as power to the tannins. The fruit and the tannins are dense, solid, intense and complex. This is a ripe, spice- and red fruit-flavored wine, certainly a wine for aging—up to 10 years, maybe more.

Bernard Baudry 2005 Les Grézeaux Cabernet Franc (Chinon)
Bernard Baudry is among the very best producers in Chinon, conjuring rich wines from his vineyards at Sonnay, just east of Chinon. Les Grézeaux is testimony to the power of his wines: full of intensely rich, smoky fruits and dark plums, the tannins are solid, promising at least 3–4 years’aging.

Bernard Baudry 2009 Cuvée Domaine Cabernet Franc (Chinon)
There are tight tannins to go with the fresh acidity in this very mineral wine. Raspberry and red cherry fruits combine with a smoky note.
