Bindella 2004 Riserva Prugnolo Gentile (Vino Nobile di Montepulciano)

  1. $35
Sweet spice, vanilla, smoked ham and bright cherry shape a modern, internationally Vino Nobile with all the forward, toasted roundness that comes with oak aging. It offers sweet, chewy tannins and a blast of raspberry fruit on the finish. It’s clean, compact and approachable.  — M.L.  (6/1/2008)

Bindella 2005 Prugnolo Gentile (Vino Nobile di Montepulciano)

  1. $22
This wine has structure and concentration, but is less generous in terms of its aromas. There are evident notes of ripe cherry, leather, vanilla and some tobacco, but they never come into full bloom. The tannins are gritty and still a bit raw and the wine offers sour cherry flavors in the mouth.  — M.L.  (6/1/2008)

Bindella 2003 Dolce Sinfonia di Vallocaia Occhio di Pernice White (Colli Etruria Centrale)

  • Online Exclusive
Very thin and brownish in appearance, this looks and tastes much older than it is. It has resinous notes of caramel, chestnut wood, maple syrup, dried figs and dried flowers. The resin flavors are long lasting, as is the finish.  — M.L.  (3/1/2008)

Bindella 2003 Vallocaia Red (Toscana)

  1. $25
The aromas are awkward, with notes of clove, green stock, bramble, linseed oil, Sambuca and spice that come from every direction. The wine is firm in the mouth with solid tannins and herbal notes on the close.  — M.L.  (4/1/2008)
