Bodega Nanni 2001 Tannat (Cafayate)
Price
$11
This certified organic Tannat from northern Argentina is a good but simple wine, one with a deep color, flavors of plum, blackberry and liquid smoke, and serious tannin. The back end yields little flavor. Depth is not its strong point.

Bodega Nanni 2001 Single Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Cafayate)
Online Exclusive
Price
$11
Distant but not overpowering aromas of green tobacco and canned veggies bring ripeness into question, yet in the mouth, it’s more about berry fruit and cassis than outright green character. A large, coffee-tinged finish is vibrant and juicy due to sharp yet controlled acidity. Has its merits as well as faults; certified organic.

Bodega Nanni 2001 Single Estate Vineyard Malbec (Cafayate)
Price
$11
This organic wine is interesting if not amazing. First off, it is more acidic than most; but it’s also made in a different vein, coming from up north in Cafayete. Look for zippy rhubarb and cranberry nuances as well as a touch of stewed character at the core. Not unlike a German or Austrian red.
