Bodegas San Martín 2007 Ilagares Tinto Red (Navarra)
Best Buy
Price
$7
Given the price, this wine is more than acceptable and may even be pleasing for those not seeking greatness. It is punchy and grapey, with a bit of dried cheese on the nose along with berry and plum. It's sizable, loud, concentrated and tastes pretty good. Among $7 wines, it's recommended.

Bodegas San Martín 2004 Señorío de Unx Crianza Red (Navarra)
Online Exclusive
Price
$11
Baked berry and raisin aromas raise questions about the wine’s overall balance, while the plate is sharp and acidic yet tastes of raisin, prune and dried apricots. Rather grabby on the finish. Think slam dancing when approaching this Tempranillo-Garnacha blend.

Bodegas San Martín 2008 Ilagares Tinto Red (Navarra)
Online Exclusive
Price
$8
Colorful but aromatically defined by lean, green alfalfa, which doesn’t portend much good. The palate is hard and underwhelming, with herbal, almost green berry fruit flavors. Similar on the finish. A 200,000-case product that comes across like a 200,000-case product.
