The Goldtröpfchen vineyard lies above and around the village of Piesport, facing almost due south to best catch the sun’s rays. The result is a soft but concentrated wine, brimming with honeydew, dried spices and tangerine flavors that linger on the finish.

Pale in color and light in body, this waif of a kabinett is undeniably attractive, offering a delicate kaleidoscope of pear, apple, pineapple and lime fruit linked together in gentle harmony. Drink it over the next year or two.
