Boscaini 1993 Ca' de Loi Red (Amarone della Valpolicella Classico)
Price
$52
Rich texture and extraction mark this full-bodied red. There are cherry, brown-sugar and chocolate flavors, along with a smoky note and a heady dose of alcohol. It stays in balance, though, and the whole thing comes together in a long, sweet finish.

Boscaini 1996 Amarone Marano Corvina (Valpolicella)
Price
$35
Chocolate and prunes abound in this dark, rich version of Amarone. Straightforward and easy to drink, despite a trace of heat from the 15% alcohol. A solid introduction to the genre.

Boscaini 1999 La Cros Pinot Grigio (Valdadige)
Price
$12
The watery color belies this wine’s pure fragrance of Anjou pears and citrus fruits. Fresh and clean, this simple light white is perfect for serving on the patio.
