Not a please-everyone style of Pinot—we found that out the hard way in the tasting room. I enjoyed this wine quite a bit: it’s tight, sour and leathery, both intense and delicate at the same time. A fairly powerful Pinot, if somewhat sour and lacking harmony at this stage. Aromas are of plums and dates, while the palate’s flavors are of plum skin, iced tea and cheese rind. Black peppery on the finish. May just be dumb in its youth. Worth revisiting in 6 months. Imported by The Vine Press.
